It’s a wrap on the Black Digital Innovators Showcase.
Overview of the Event
From 13–23 October 2025, TEKSHAQQ CIC hosted the Black Digital Innovators Showcase, a ten-day community learning exhibition featuring 30 present-day Black innovators in technology. Visitors of all ages engaged with interactive posters, hands-on activities, and discussions, discovering contributions to tech innovation rarely highlighted in schools or mainstream media.
Key Outcomes
Before attending, most participants could not name a Black tech innovator. By the end, every visitor had engaged with at least one innovator, either in person or via the showcase resources. The event inspired creativity, ambition, and awareness, particularly among young people exploring potential careers in technology.
Inspiring Community Engagement
The showcase sparked interest in digital innovation, problem-solving, and entrepreneurship. Visitors discussed potential apps and tech solutions, highlighting the community’s appetite for accessible, inspiring learning opportunities.
